Lucy Ella is a Brighton based artist, working in mixed media (everything from acrylics and textiles to cosmetics and home-made paints) and is particularly inspired by the female form, nature and the sea. She has loved art from a young age, winning an Arts Scholarship at school in Kent and pursuing her passion for all things creative while studying for an MA in English Literature: ‘Sexual Dissidence’ at the University of Sussex, which centrally involved the Feminist focus of much of her artwork.
While studying she has attended life drawing classes at Sussex University, mixed media creative courses at Phoenix (Brighton) and KIAD (Maidstone), managed Brighton art gallery Ethos in 2010, taken children to art classes at Brighton’s Pottery Cafe while childminding, and had her canvases displayed in Brighton Dome as part of the Sussex Live Exhibition 2011.
Please feel free to browse her work and don’t hesitate to get in touch for more information. All work on this website is available to purchase and any commissions are always welcomed. Thank you for supporting local Brighton artists.
